The Alliance Defense Fund is a powerful legal alliance defending the right to hear and speak the Truth through strategy, training, funding, and litigation.
Hebel Building Systems, Dallas, TX (June 1996 - February 2000)
Operational leader recruited to direct this major start-up. Pioneered the development of the south central U.S. market on behalf of this billion-dollar German-based manufacturer of pre-engineered Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) masonry and reinforced panels. As a new technology to the U.S. market, strategic measures required the establishment of essential industry infrastructure such as architectural and engineering standards, distribution channels, contractor development, etc. By succeeding on these fronts I positioned the product to achieve industry acceptance and support the $32 million investment in local manufacturing.
President & CEO As the chief executive I was responsible to pioneer, direct, market and establish this first-of-its-kind structural system in the U.S. I was responsible for creating, developing and managing the sales, engineering, construction and administrative divisions of the company. I authored the company’s residential and commercial marketing plans, which created the design, construction and distribution infrastructure necessary to establish AAC in the U.S. market. I successfully led this organization in overcoming extraordinary obstacles relative to institutionalized resistance to new products in an extremely risk adverse industry.
Materials Marketing Corporation, San Antonio, TX (November 1986 - June 1996)
Directed all U.S. sales and marketing activities for the largest U.S. fabricator of architectural and dimensional stone from Mexico and retailer of exclusive decorative tile. As the architect of the company’s commercial construction market strategy, I was able to establish MMC as a premier resource for large-scale, cut-to-fit, architectural stone applications.
Executive Vice President Built a 9-year history of management contributions resulting in: (1) major multi-million dollar growth, (2) diversification of company’s product line for the first time in 20 years, tripling sales volume, (3) achieved and sustained highest average gross margins in company’s history, 57%, (4) developed the company’s technical and design infrastructure, which expanded production capacity and positioned the company for the large-scale commercial market. Worked jointly with President and CEO to develop strategic long range and tactical plans to develop retail, commercial and wholesale markets.
OTHER EXPERIENCE United States Navy
During my 4-years of service I received numerous awards and recognition for outstanding performance. Additionally, I founded the Navy’s “Adopt-A-School” program, which fostered improved relations between the Navy and local communities. This program received national attention and was ultimately endorsed by President Reagan throughout the Armed Forces.
